I am starting a weekly podcast on all things related to the hunting dogs that you and I own, train, test, and hunt. This will, in time cover everything under the sun in the world of sporting dogs. And not just the pointing breeds. We will talk with dog owners that chase every furred creature in the country. By including all sporting dogs, this show will be very eclectic. Subjects from force fetching to feeding, training and testing, water work to whelping.
Most importantly this podcast will not take itself too serious. In fact it will always strive to be lighthearted, funny and entertaining. For 25 years I have made friends throughout the country while hunting and judging dogs. I have rarely ever met a hunting dog person that didnt become an instant friend. Some of these shows will come from my kennels in Mi and VA. others will be done on the phone as I travel. some will happen on the tailgate of a truck after a hunt or a field trial. In all cases, alcohol, tobbacco, and firearms will mostly likely be present. So give it a listen, and pass the word, Thanks Ron                                                 Coming in Jan 2015

Back in the Saddle

We just completed two AI breedings with Dancing Duke Hope. She was bred with Gabrial, who is owned by Jennifer Caban in SC. This litter should have a ton of desire, Both Dogs are Prize 1 pups both have earned several conformation ribbons. and Gabe also has 2or 3 other hunt test titles. Crossing fingers on this one. My AI success rate is only 50%. but this was done by a place that claims 85%.. Stay tuned for further announcements.

Puppies for Sure!!!

Went to the vet today for Ultrsound on the girls. Hope didnt take but Lucy came thru. Our vet say many pups, could be 10. I will breed Hope again as soon as she comes into heat. It would have been tuff to have two litters at once, so in hindsight all is well. X rays will be in a couple weeks to get a solid head count. From us to all you have a Great Christmas and even better New Year. Ron

The Annual Bracco Christmas Party 2013

This week besides our regular residents; Artie, Bravo, Gracie, Zeno, Hope, and Lucy we had some additional visitors; Gunner and Buster from Matt and Jerry in Muskegon and Zuzu from Macki and Hunter in Florida. We’re not sure who’s been naughty or nice and Santa will have to sort that out. But two of the girls in this Bracci (group of Braccos) gathering are going in for ultrasounds next week. Cross your fingers, hold your breath and wish us luck in the New Year!

Heat Cycle finally!!! stay posted for more news And ck out Face Book Dancing Duke

What i was sure would be a Oct cycle turned into a Nov. That ( if all goes well ) should have pups born right after the new year. Which means early March ready to go. We may actually have our newest Female who was(artifically) bred to Bravo last year but only had 2 pups, also bred. That could be a real challenge but what the heck….

Pups are doing good

Here is a couple of pictures from our last litter. Patty is a female and quite the accomplished dog. Her owner has her obedience train to the point where I would be much later.
And Blake is a male that I got to see in his NAVHDA natural ability test. He is heading to South Dakota this month. Meanwhile my boy Zeeno is off with a trainer to get his first outing on wild birds. Will post pics and more on Zeeno later.
